INTI International University

Overview

INTI International University teaches in English, sits within reach of Kuala Lumpur, and builds a large part of its degree catalogue around moving on. Many of its programmes are designed from the first semester to transfer into a named partner university abroad, which makes it a practical first step for students who are not yet ready to apply directly overseas.

Ahasa Consultancy is an official student recruitment partner of INTI International University.

Why Study At INTI International University

Transfer Routes That Already Exist

INTI runs its degree transfer programmes with named universities, so the onward step is written into the programme rather than left to chance. These are INTI’s own agreements.

United Kingdom

University of Hertfordshire, Sheffield Hallam University and Coventry University — dual awards and 3+0 degrees taught in Malaysia.

UK law

University of Sheffield, University of Liverpool Law School and University of Leeds, through the UK Degree Transfer Programme in law.

United States

Southern New Hampshire University — 4+0 degrees and credit transfer.

Australia

Swinburne University of Technology — 3+0 degrees in business, computing and media.

France

CY Cergy Paris Université — an honours degree in food service management with culinary arts.

Four Campuses, One University

INTI began in 1986 in Kuala Lumpur and was granted university status in 2010. It has been part of Hope Education Group since 2020. Teaching is spread across INTI International University in Nilai, the main campus, with INTI International College in Subang and Penang, and INTI College Sabah in Kota Kinabalu.

A Start For Students Who Cannot Apply Direct

Not every student is ready to move straight into a university in Europe, the United Kingdom or Australia. Foundation and diploma routes at INTI give you a recognised starting point in English, closer to home and at a cost that suits more families, with a named university waiting at the other end.

What Malaysia Asks Of You

Malaysia is a good place to begin, and it is only fair to be clear about the rules, because they are stricter than the European countries on this site.

  • Work during study. Up to 20 hours a week, and only during semester breaks or holidays longer than seven days — not during term. Approval from the Immigration Department is applied for through the university.
  • After you graduate. Malaysia’s Graduate Pass gives twelve months of stay, but it is open to a published list of nationalities and Sri Lanka is not on that list at the time of writing. Plan INTI as a place to start, not a place to settle.
  • Your student pass. Applications go through Education Malaysia Global Services before you travel, and we handle that with you.

Continuing To Europe With Ahasa

INTI’s own agreements lead to the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia. If continental Europe is where you want to finish, that step is one we arrange ourselves, through our European partner universities — it is not an INTI transfer agreement, and we will never tell you otherwise.

That is the reason to talk to us before you enrol. Choose your INTI programme with the European entry requirements already in mind and the second step stays open. Choose it blindly and it may not.

For student visas, work rules and the Graduate Pass, see our Study in Malaysia guide. Tuition and intake dates for Sri Lankan applicants are available on enquiry. Book a free consultation and we will go through the options with you.
