OUR STORY

Ahasa exists to widen the map. In 2017 Rangana Mahesh began looking for the European countries nobody was talking to Sri Lankan students about yet — strong universities, affordable to study in, with a real route to work after graduation.

He was the first agent to put Latvia in front of Sri Lankan students, and the first to bring Latvian universities to Sri Lanka to meet them in person. In 2019 that work became a company, registered in Riga.

Opening a destination is patient work: finding the right universities, earning the agreement, mapping the visa route, then standing behind the first students who trust it. Each year we add countries that were not on the map for Sri Lankan students before, so that every student can find the one that fits them.

Based in Amsterdam, I’ve travelled to over 40 countries, and I share my travel videos and global university tours. For over 9 years I’ve been on a mission to make international education accessible. Having guided hundreds of students through the complex European student visa process, I share articles and tips to give you clear, honest guidance.
