Why study aviation in Europe
Europe trains the engineers who keep the world's aircraft flying, and some of its best programmes are open to Sri Lankan students.
Aviation is one of the fastest-growing fields for Sri Lankan students, and Europe offers something hard to find at home: full engineering degrees in aircraft systems, taught in English at public universities.
In Lithuania, Kaunas University of Technology offers a bachelor’s in Aviation Engineering and a master’s in Aeronautical Engineering, and VILNIUS TECH, home of the Antanas Gustaitis Aviation Institute, offers a master’s in Aeronautical Engineering. In Belgium, VIVES runs a Bachelor of Aviation.
These are engineering and aviation-management degrees, not pilot licences on their own. If your goal is to fly, tell us at your consultation and we will explain which route fits.
- 01Aircraft engineering degrees taught fully in English.
- 02Public technical universities with dedicated aviation institutes and hangars.
- 03EU-recognised qualifications under the Bologna framework.
- 04A route into the aviation industry in maintenance, design, operations and airports.
- 05Strong maths and physics foundations that keep your options open.
- 06Schengen mobility across 29 countries on your residence permit.
